Semolina Porridge with Caramelized Apples

Ingredients
Caramelized apples

0.5 piece Apple, fresh

2 spoons Sugar, white

1 spoon Butter, unsalted

3 spoons Sweet cream

500 ml Milk, whole milk

1 pinch Salt, table

50 g Semolina

1 bag Sugar, white
Steps

Pour milk into a thick-bottomed pot and add a pinch of salt. Place it on the stove and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and cook the semolina in the hot milk. Slowly add the semolina while stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Cook the porridge on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens. Add vanilla sugar just before the end of cooking.

While the porridge is cooking, peel the apple and cut it into pieces. Add sugar to a pan and heat until it melts and turns slightly brown. Add butter and cream, stirring well to create a smooth caramel sauce. Mix in the apple pieces and cook briefly until the apples soften.

Serve the semolina porridge in bowls and top with the caramelized apples. Serve the dish immediately.
