1 kg Apples, rose

Steps

First, prepare the filling. Peel the apples and coarsely grate them. Place them in a bowl and add regular and vanilla sugar. Briefly simmer the apples on low heat to soften them and release their juice.

Remove the apples from the heat and add cinnamon and breadcrumbs. Mix well. If there is still visible liquid (apple juice), add a little more breadcrumbs (1-2 tablespoons). Let the apple filling cool while you prepare the sponge batter.

Beat the eggs with sugar until frothy. Add oil, yogurt, and milk to the beaten eggs. Finally, add the flour mixed with baking powder and mix the batter briefly on the lowest speed to remove any lumps.

Grease a baking pan (approximately 25 x 30 centimeters) with butter and dust it with flour (remove excess flour) or line it with baking paper. Pour half of the sponge batter into the pan and spread it evenly with a spatula. Place the pan in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes to partially bake the sponge.

Spread the apple filling evenly over the partially baked sponge, then cover it with the remaining batter. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 20 more minutes. Check if it's done with a toothpick.

Let the baked cake cool to room temperature. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar, cut into pieces, and serve.
