Ingredients

200 g Mushrooms, mushrooms, fresh

Steps

Peel the shallot and finely chop it. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth (or quickly rinse them under running water), then trim the stems and cut them into medium-sized pieces.

Heat the oil in a pan, add the shallot, and sauté until it turns golden.

Add the mushrooms, stir, and sauté over medium heat for a few minutes until all the liquid in the pan evaporates. Season to taste with garlic, pepper, and salt.

Pour in the chicken broth, stir, and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Then add the coconut milk, stir the sauce again, and wait for it to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Finally, add a little freshly chopped parsley if desired.

Advice
Instead of brown mushrooms, you can use regular button mushrooms or choose other types of mushrooms. Coconut milk can be replaced with cooking cream, sweet cream, or sour cream, as desired. If serving the sauce with meat, quickly sear the meat first and then remove it from the pan. Use the fat left in the pan to make the mushroom sauce. When adding coconut milk or cream, return the seared meat to the pan and let it simmer in the sauce for a while.
