-
120 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
2 teaspoons Baking powder
-
2 teaspoons Sugar, white
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
3 spoons Butter, unsalted
-
0.5 cups Milk, whole milk
-
0.5 cups Sweet cream
-
1 cup Syrup, maple
Steps
-
Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl and add the salt and sugar. Mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with a whisk. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and let it cool to lukewarm. Mix the butter with the milk, cream, and whisked eggs. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and blend smoothly with an electric mixer.
-
Preheat the waffle maker, but do not grease it. Pour a spoonful of batter onto each quarter of the waffle maker, close it, and leave it closed until no more liquid is evaporating.
-
The waffles should be evenly golden brown. Warm the maple syrup in a small saucepan and serve it alongside the waffles on a platter to your guests.

If the batter is thicker than cream, add a little more milk. If you dont have a waffle maker, you can make small pancakes from the batter and serve them with warmed maple syrup.
