Ingredients
-
200 g Meat, beef, shimbas
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Oil, olive
-
1 spoon Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Season the steak on both sides with salt and pepper. Pour a little oil into the pan and let it heat up well. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
-
Once the oil is hot, add one tablespoon of butter to the pan. Place the seasoned steak on the hot fat and sear it on both sides until it reaches the desired color.
-
Once the steak is seared on both sides, transfer it to a smaller baking dish and place it in the oven. You can drizzle some of the fat from the pan over the steak. Bake in the preheated oven to the desired doneness: about 5 minutes for 'rare', 8-10 minutes for 'medium', and 13-15 minutes for 'well done'.
-
Remove the cooked steak from the oven and transfer it to a cutting board or plate. Let it rest for a few minutes so the juices can distribute evenly. Serve with your chosen side dish.

Advice
The meat will cook more beautifully and evenly if we take the steak out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking and let it come to room temperature.
