Steps

Preheat the oven to 230°C. Rinse and dry the shrimp. Peel and finely chop the garlic. In a medium-sized bowl, mash the butter well with a fork and mix it with the garlic, 2 tablespoons of parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Arrange the shrimp in a baking dish with the tails facing upwards and top them with pieces of the prepared butter. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until they turn pink and the butter starts to bubble.

Remove the baked shrimp from the oven and transfer them to a serving plate. Drizzle with the butter from the baking dish, sprinkle with the remaining parsley, and garnish with basil leaves. Serve immediately with toasted bread.

Advice
The seasoned butter can be prepared in advance. It will keep in the refrigerator for 1 week, and in the freezer for up to one month. Take the butter out of the refrigerator one hour before use. Its best to use organic lemons, whose peel is not treated with pesticides. If organic lemons are not available, submerge the lemon in boiling water for a few minutes and wipe it well to remove the wax, which contains toxins.
