Ingredients
-
800 g Potatoes, white
-
1 spoon Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
100 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon
-
2 piece Onion, young
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Thoroughly wash the potatoes and, if necessary, scrub them. Remove any eyes, green parts, or damaged areas. Slice the potatoes into approximately 0.5 cm thick slices or rings. Cut the bacon into smaller pieces.
-
Line a baking dish with parchment paper and place the potato slices in it. Drizzle them with one tablespoon of oil and season with pepper and salt to taste. Mix well and spread evenly in the baking dish. Scatter the bacon pieces on top.
-
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. After about 10 to 15 minutes of baking, remove the dish from the oven and use a spatula to flip the potato slices so they bake evenly on both sides.
-
While the potatoes are baking, prepare the young onions. First, clean and wash them, then roughly chop them. About 5 minutes before the end of baking, sprinkle the chopped onions over the potato slices.
-
Once the potato slices are nicely golden brown and tender, remove the baking dish from the oven. Serve the dish as a side or enjoy it as a main course with a large bowl of seasonal salad.
