Steps
-
Open the can of beans, drain them well in a colander, and rinse under water. Wash the green beans, trim the ends, remove any strings, and cut into a few centimeters long pieces. Clean the broccoli, separate into florets, wash, and cut into strips. Peel the potatoes, wash, and cut into cubes. Slice the sausage into rings. Cut the bacon and ham into smaller cubes. Peel the onion and garlic. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
-
Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the bacon and ham over moderate heat for 5 minutes. Add the onion, garlic, and bay leaf, and sauté for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent and soft.
-
Then add the beans, sausage, broccoli, green beans, potatoes, and broth to the pot. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin. Bring the liquid to a boil and cook for another 20 to 25 minutes. Garnish the stew with chopped parsley, serve in bowls, and enjoy.
