Meatballs
-
450 g Meat, beef, ground
-
110 g Cheese, Parmesan, hard
-
110 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
3 twigs Parsley, fresh
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
2 spoons Worcestershire sauce
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
1 teaspoon Basil, fresh
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
1 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
6 spoon Ketchup
-
8 teaspoon Mayonnaise
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Wash and dry the parsley, then chop it finely. Grate the Parmesan finely, peel the garlic and onion, and chop them finely. Prepare a large bowl, add the ground beef, and mix it with the Parmesan, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, and onion.
-
Crack an egg into a smaller bowl, beat it, and add it to the ingredients in the bowl. Season the prepared mixture with salt and pepper to taste, and add dried basil and Worcestershire sauce. Knead the ingredients well so that all the flavors mix thoroughly.
-
Then prepare three plates for the breading. On the first plate, pour flour, on the second plate, crack two eggs and beat them well with a fork. On the third plate, pour breadcrumbs.
-
With wet hands, shape the prepared mixture into walnut-sized balls. First, roll them in flour, then dip them in the egg mixture, and finally, roll them in breadcrumbs.
-
Place a larger deep pan on the stove, heat it well, and then heat the oil in it. Fry the first batch of meatballs in the hot oil. Be careful not to fry too many meatballs at once! While frying, stir the meatballs several times with a spoon so that they cook evenly. When the meatballs turn golden brown, remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to absorb excess fat. Repeat the process until all the meatballs are fried.
-
Arrange the fried meatballs on a larger serving plate and decorate them. Drizzle ketchup over the top and add half a teaspoon of mayonnaise to each one. Finish the decoration with a drop of ketchup in the center of the mayonnaise to make the meatballs resemble spooky eyes (see picture). Serve the prepared meatballs.

Advice
Fry in a large amount of fat. The food should float in it. For frying, use fats that do not contain water, such as coconut oil or good quality oil. The frying fat is hot enough when small bubbles form around a wooden spoon handle.
