Ingredients
Marinade
-
2 spoons Water
-
2 spoons Koruzni škrob
-
0.5 teaspoons Garlic, fresh
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
450 g Meat, beef, thigh
-
1 piece Broccoli, fresh
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
80 ml Soy sauce, shoyu
-
120 ml Water
-
2 spoons Sugar, brown
-
1 spoon Spices, ginger, ground
Steps
-
Clean the beef steaks, wash them, and thoroughly dry them with paper towels. Cut them into thin strips. In a large bowl, mix two tablespoons of cornstarch, two tablespoons of water, and garlic powder. Add the beef strips to the bowl and mix well with the prepared marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for a few hours.
-
Clean and wash the broccoli head and separate it into individual florets. Peel the onion and cut it in half. Slice both halves. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Take the bowl with the marinated meat out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for a while to warm up.
-
Place a wok (or a large pan) on the stove and heat it well. Add one tablespoon of oil, wait for it to heat up, then add the marinated beef strips and stir-fry them for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the stir-fried meat from the wok and set it aside on a plate.
-
Pour the remaining oil into the wok and stir-fry the onion and broccoli florets for 4 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic and stir-fry everything together for another minute.
-
In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sugar, water, and one tablespoon of cornstarch. Return the meat to the wok and pour the prepared mixture over everything. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly, then reduce the heat and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. Serve with cooked rice or noodles.

Advice
Instead of powdered ginger, you can use freshly grated ginger, and optionally add a bit of fresh chili. Marinating the meat can also be skipped in the preparation process.
