- Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
1 spoon Gelatin powder, unsweetened
-
900 g Strawberries
-
6 spoon Sugar, white
-
500 ml Sweet cream
-
3 spoons Powdered sugar
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
Steps
-
First, prepare the gelatin. Mix it with a few tablespoons of cold water (according to the instructions on the packet) and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the gelatin to swell.
-
Quickly rinse the strawberries under running water and dry them. If preparing the dessert with small strawberries, remove the stems and halve them. If using larger strawberries, also remove the stems and then cut them into slightly larger pieces.
-
Place half of the strawberries in a tall container. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar and blend them with a hand mixer into a smooth puree.
-
Whip the sweet cream together with powdered sugar and vanilla flavor until stiff peaks form.
-
Melt the swollen gelatin, being careful not to let it boil. Mix it into the strawberry puree, then gently and slowly fold the puree into the whipped cream using a spatula.
-
Place the remaining strawberries in a bowl and mix them with 1.5-3 tablespoons of sugar (depending on the sweetness of the strawberries). Transfer the strawberry cream into a piping bag fitted with any desired tip.
-
Prepare the glasses in which you will serve the dessert. First, add a layer of strawberries. If using strawberry halves, arrange them nicely around the edge of the glass (see picture). Pipe a layer of cream over the strawberries. Then add another layer of strawberries, followed by the final layer of cream, which should reach the top of the glasses or slightly over. Refrigerate the dessert for 4 hours to allow the cream to set and cool properly.
-
Before serving, decorate the dessert as desired. You can use just strawberry halves or a sprig of fresh mint, and for an extra touch, you can grate some chocolate on top.
