Ingredients
-
1 kg Strawberries
-
10 spoon Water
-
160 g Sugar, white
-
1 piece Lemon, fresh, without shell
-
10 spoon Alcohol, Wine, White
Steps
-
Wash the strawberries thoroughly, clean them, and cut them in half if necessary. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice from both halves.
-
Place a pot with sugar and water on the stove. Add the strawberries to the pot and cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove the pot from the heat and blend the strawberries into a smooth puree using an immersion blender.
-
Strain the strawberry puree through a fine sieve. Mix the strained puree with lemon juice and white wine. Wait for the strawberry puree to cool completely.
-
Pour the cooled strawberry puree into a 20 x 30 cm dish that is at least 5 cm deep and can be placed in the freezer.
-
Place the dish with the strawberry puree in the freezer for about 3 hours. Every 30 minutes, stir the contents with a fork and scrape the ice crystals from the edges of the dish. Repeat the process until a firm consistency is achieved.
-
Chill the glasses (or bowls) in which you will serve the strawberry granita in the refrigerator before serving. Then, slowly scrape the frozen granita from the dish with a spoon and place it into the chilled glasses. Serve the prepared dessert with whipped cream or homemade ice cream.

Advice
Lemon juice can be replaced with lime or orange juice. If children will be eating the dessert, replace the wine with fruit juice (orange, apple, or redcurrant).
