Ingredients
-
500 g Strawberries
-
200 g Sugar, white
-
600 ml Water
-
10 g Seaweed, agar, dried
Steps
-
Clean the strawberries thoroughly, wash them, and let them dry. Place a pot with water on the stove and mix in the sugar. Bring it to a boil. Stir and let it boil for another 5 minutes. Then remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool.
-
Place the cleaned strawberries into a multipractic and pour the cooled sugar syrup over them. Blend everything well to get a smooth mixture. Then cover and let it rest for 30 minutes so the strawberries soak up the syrup. After 30 minutes, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or a very fine sieve to remove all the strawberry seeds and get a liquid strawberry syrup.
-
Add agar-agar to 0.5 dl of cold water, mix, and let it sit for 5 minutes. In a small cup, heat a cup of strawberry syrup. Add 0.5 dl of water with agar-agar and cook on medium heat until the agar-agar is completely dissolved. Be careful not to let the mixture boil. Then mix this into the strawberry syrup.
-
Rinse 4 cups with cold water and distribute the strawberry mixture into them. Place the cups in the refrigerator and wait for the mixture to set (at least 2 hours).
-
Turn the set strawberry jelly out of the cups onto a serving plate, garnish with fresh strawberries if desired, and serve.
