Ingredients
-
15 pieces Bell pepper, red, fresh
-
2 piece Onion, raw
-
150 g Rice, white, medium grain
-
700 g Meat, pork, ground
-
0.75 teaspoons Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, paprika
-
1 dl Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
5 spoon Water
Steps
-
Thoroughly wash the peppers and remove the stems and seeds. Then soak them in hot water to soften. Peel the onion and chop it finely. Rinse the rice in a sieve under running water until the water runs clear. Then drain the rice well.
-
Place a pot with about 6 dl of salted water on the stove. Add the rice to the pot and wait for the water to boil. Then cover the pot and cook the rice over moderate heat for an additional eight minutes. Once cooked, drain the rice thoroughly.
-
Place a larger pan on the stove and heat it up, then add oil. Quickly sauté the onion in the oil until it becomes translucent. Then add the cooked rice and ground meat. Stir-fry everything together for a while, then season with salt, pepper, and ground paprika. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool.
-
Drain the softened peppers well and stuff them with the filling. Save some of the filling. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Prepare a greased baking dish and spread the remaining filling on the bottom, then pour a few tablespoons of water over it. Arrange the stuffed peppers in the dish and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Once the dish is ready, divide it onto plates and serve with a side of your choice.
