Stuffed Prawn Tails

Clean the tiger prawns under running water. Place them on a wooden board and carefully cut them from the beginning of the tail almost to the end along the middle. Carefully remove the meat from the shell. Grease a baking dish and place the prawns in it with their tails spread open.

Finely chop the meat from the prawn tails. Wash the parsley under running water, shake it off, and chop it finely. Peel the onion, wash it, and also chop it very finely. Clean the mushrooms under running water and cut them into small cubes.

Place a larger pan on the stove and heat it well. Add butter and let it melt. Then add the chopped onion and sauté for 1 minute. Next, add the mushrooms and parsley. Stir and add the prawn tail meat. Cook everything together for 6 minutes until the meat turns a nice pink color. Stir several times during cooking. Remove the pan from the heat and fill the prawn tails in the baking dish with the prepared stuffing.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top of the stuffed prawn tails. Wash the remaining half of the onion and chop it finely. Place it in a bowl, add cream, and mix in the starch. Pour the sauce over the prawn tails and sprinkle Parmesan on top.

Place everything in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, just until the prawn shells turn pink and the Parmesan melts. Remove the baking dish from the oven, arrange the prawn tails nicely on plates, and serve. You can serve fresh vegetables or bread on the side.
