Ingredients

275 g Peanuts, raw

200 g Sugar, white

75 ml Water

1 pinch Salt, table

In a large pan with a thick bottom, add water, peanuts, salt, and sugar. Mix everything well and place it over moderate heat. Stir continuously until the sugar completely dissolves and the water begins to evaporate.

After a while, a crust will form on the surface of the peanuts as the sugar syrup starts to stick to them. At this point, reduce the heat and continue stirring as the peanuts begin to brown. Use a spatula to scrape the bottom of the pan frequently to coat the peanuts with the sugar syrup.

If the pan starts to smoke, remove it from the heat and thoroughly mix the contents. Then return the pan to the stove. Repeat this process until the peanuts turn a dark brown color. Transfer the peanuts to a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the peanuts out on the sheet and wait for the sugar to completely harden.

Serve the prepared peanuts in a bowl and enjoy.
