Sweet Potato in the Oven
A recipe for a very simple side dish that is not only tasty but also healthy. Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of beta-carotene, and baking them increases their fiber content while also making them easier to digest.

1 kg Sweet potato

2 spoons Oil, olive

Steps

Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into larger pieces (about 2-3 centimeters in size), or you can also cut them into wedges or sticks.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. If desired, line the baking dish with parchment paper.

Place the cut sweet potatoes in the baking dish. Season them with salt and freshly ground pepper, then drizzle with olive oil. Mix the sweet potatoes with your hands to ensure all pieces are evenly seasoned, then spread them out in a single layer in the baking dish (see tips).

Bake the sweet potatoes in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, stirring once during baking. They are done when they are completely softened and the edges are browned.

Before serving the baked sweet potatoes, you can sprinkle them with freshly chopped parsley.

Advice
Sweet potatoes have a very thin skin, so there is no need to peel them before baking. For seasoning sweet potatoes, you can also use garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, etc.
