Sweet Rice Squares

Ingredients

3 spoons Butter, unsalted

285 g Sugar, white

1 pinch Salt, table

170 g Amaranth, flakes

Grease a small deep baking dish (approximately 33 x 23 cm) well with oil. Pour the rice cereal into a large greased bowl. Melt the butter in a pot over medium-high heat.

Once the butter has melted, add the marshmallows and salt to the pot. Reduce the heat and continue cooking while stirring until the marshmallows melt and bind together nicely.

Remove the pot from the heat and pour the mixture into the bowl with the rice cereal. Gently mix everything together with a greased spatula. Continue mixing until all ingredients are well combined.

Transfer the prepared mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use greased hands or the back of a spoon to spread it evenly across the dish. Sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top. Let the mixture cool completely (approximately 15 to 20 minutes).
