Ingredients

1000 g Potatoes, white

30 g Butter, unsalted

1 pinch Spices, pepper, black

1 teaspoon Salt, table

1 teaspoon Thyme, fresh

1 teaspoon Spices, mayonnaise, dried

2 teaspoons Oil, plant, sunflower
Steps

Boil the potatoes in salted water for ten minutes until they soften. Cool them in cold water, peel them, and then place them in the fridge.

Once cooled, grate the potatoes into a bowl, season with pepper, salt, add thyme and marjoram, and gently mix with your hands.

Heat butter in a pan and add a tablespoon of oil. Transfer the potatoes to the pan and shape them into a cake or small cakes (as shown in the photo). Cook over moderate heat for ten minutes (the bottom should become crispy and golden brown). Transfer the cake to a plate, add a bit more butter and a teaspoon of oil to the pan. Flip the cake and cook the other side until golden.
