Tandoori Chicken
Marinated Indian chicken. Dressed in such vibrant colors, it is suitable for lovers of spicy food. The intense red color is achieved by Indians with special dyes, which we can find in stores selling Indian food. The original tandoori chicken is prepared in a special oven, which gives it a smoky flavor.

1 spoon Bell pepper, red, fresh

1 cup Yogurt, plain, from whole milk

Tandoori masala

1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground

1 spoon Spices, coriander - seeds

2 teaspoons Spices, cumin, seeds

6 pieces Spices, cloves, ground

2 teaspoons Spices, turmeric, ground

Steps

Peel the garlic, crush it with a knife, and finely chop. Heat the oil in a small pan and add all the ingredients for the masala. Fry them for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Let the prepared masala cool.

Pour the yogurt into a bowl and add the fried spices (masala). Squeeze the lemon and add the lemon juice, ground red paprika, and garlic to the bowl with the yogurt. Season with salt and mix well.

Wash the chicken thighs and dry them with a paper towel. Make a few deep cuts in the chicken thighs with a knife. Dip the thighs into the marinade on all sides and let them marinate for 6 hours.

Grease a baking dish with oil and preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Remove the thighs from the marinade, remove excess marinade, and place them in the baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, turning the chicken halfway through (after 15 minutes).

Let the thighs cool slightly before serving.

Advice
If we want a more intense red color, mix only the ingredients for the masala and use this to coat the chicken (without yogurt). Tandoori chicken can also be grilled.
