- Preparation Time: 18 minutes
- Cooking Time: 16 minutes
- Difficulty: 1
- Spiciness: 1
- Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
45 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
2 spoons Milk, whole milk
-
500 g Meat, pork, ground
-
5 twig Coriander, leaves, fresh
-
4 twig Mint
-
3 pieces Onion, young
-
1.5 spoons Juice, lime
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1 piece Chili peppers, red chili, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
5 spoon Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Place breadcrumbs in a bowl and mix with milk. Rinse cilantro and mint under running water, dry well, and roughly chop. Clean and wash the spring onion. Finely chop it. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash the chili, clean it (remove the stem and seeds), and finely chop it.
-
Add the ground meat, cilantro, mint, chili, lime juice, spring onion, and garlic to the bowl with the breadcrumbs. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Knead the ingredients well with your hands so they bind together nicely. Divide the mixture into 8 parts. Shape each part into meatballs approximately 7 cm in size and 2 cm wide.
-
Heat three tablespoons of oil in a large pan. Place 4 meatballs in the heated pan, reduce the heat to medium, and cook the meatballs for about 4 minutes. When they are nicely browned on the bottom, carefully flip them and cook the other side (also for about 4 minutes).
-
Remove the cooked meatballs from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels. Heat the remaining oil in the pan and cook the rest of the meatballs.
-
Serve the meatballs on plates with your chosen side dish.
