Ingredients
-
400 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
3 spoons Coffee, espresso
-
3 pieces Egg, fresh
-
100 g Sugar, white
-
500 g Cheese, creamy
-
2 spoons Alcohol, Brandy
-
1 teaspoon Orange, fresh
-
2 spoons Cocoa, powdered, sweetened
Steps
-
Place a small pot with about 300 ml of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Add about three heaping tablespoons of coffee to the boiling water and stir well. Bring the mixture to a boil a few times, then remove the pot from the heat.
-
Separate the egg whites and yolks into two bowls. Whip the egg whites with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Add sugar to the yolks and whisk until frothy. Gently fold the mascarpone into the yolks, then fold in the whipped egg whites. For enhanced flavor, add cognac and grated orange zest to the cream.
-
Pour the coffee into a shallow bowl with a flat bottom. Dip the biscuits in the coffee on both sides and arrange them in a rectangular glass dish. Once the bottom of the dish is fully covered with biscuits, spread half of the prepared cream evenly over them. Layer another set of coffee-soaked biscuits on top and cover them with the remaining cream. Smooth the cream evenly on top and dust it with cocoa powder. Refrigerate the dessert for several hours to allow the flavors to meld.
-
Cut the tiramisu into desired-sized pieces, plate them, and serve.

Advice
Use store-bought biscuits or make them yourself. Each person has their own way of brewing coffee, so you can prepare it according to your preference. To let the flavors develop, cover the tiramisu with foil and refrigerate it for at least three hours. You can add various types of seasonal fruit to the tiramisu, and the cognac can be replaced with coffee liqueur, brandy, amaretto, rum, or a similar drink. Since the biscuits are already sweetened, there is no need to sweeten the coffee. The cream can also be prepared without eggs.
