Ingredients
-
1 teaspoon Coffee, espresso
-
30 ml Water
-
250 g Cheese, creamy
-
50 g Powdered sugar
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
140 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
4 spoon Chocolate spread, with hazelnuts
-
pieces Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
Steps
-
In a small bowl, add a teaspoon of instant coffee and pour hot water over it. Mix well until the coffee dissolves. Set aside and let it cool.
-
In a larger bowl, mix mascarpone and powdered sugar. Once you have a uniform mixture, add the cooled coffee and vanilla extract.
-
Finely grind the biscuits using an electric chopper. If you don’t have one, you can use a nut grinder or place the biscuits in a sealed bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Mix the ground biscuits into the mascarpone cream. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the mixture firm up slightly.
-
Take a small portion of the chilled biscuit mixture and flatten it slightly in your palm. Place a small dollop of chocolate or hazelnut spread in the center (you can use a piping bag for this) and cover it with the biscuit mixture. Shape it into a ball and roll it in cocoa powder.
-
If you prefer not to add chocolate or hazelnut spread, simply shape the prepared mixture into walnut-sized balls and roll them in cocoa powder.
-
Serve the prepared balls immediately or store them in the refrigerator until ready to use. Let them sit at room temperature for half an hour before serving.
