Ingredients
-
1 piece Tomato, red
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
50 ml Milk, partially skimmed
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
2 teaspoons Butter, unsalted
-
40 g Cheese, Cheddar
Steps
-
Wash the tomato, cut off the green part, and chop the rest into smaller pieces. Remove the seeds if desired. Grate the cheese coarsely. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them well with a whisk. Add the tomato pieces, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well.
-
Place a pan on the stove and heat it over medium heat. Add butter to the heated pan and wait for it to melt. Tilt the pan to evenly coat it with butter.
-
Pour the egg mixture into the pan. When the edges of the omelette set, lift them with a spatula to let the egg mixture flow underneath.
-
When the omelette is set, sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top, carefully transfer it to a plate, and fold it. Sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese and garnish with parsley. Serve the prepared dish.

Instead of cheddar cheese, you can also use another type of cheese (e.g., edam, gouda,…).
