Tomatoes Provencal

4 pieces Tomato, red

1 bouquet Parsley, fresh

2 twigs Basil, fresh

1 pod Garlic, fresh

1 spoon Breadcrumbs, dried

1 pinch Salt, table

1 pinch Spices, pepper, black

1 teaspoon Oil, olive

8 slice Cheese, edamame
Steps

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Thoroughly wash the tomatoes and cut them in half widthwise. Gently squeeze the tomatoes with your hand and place them on a paper towel to drain. Rinse the basil and parsley with water and dry them thoroughly. Remove the leaves from the stems, finely chop them, and place them in a separate bowl.

Peel and mince the garlic, then add it to the herbs. Mix in the breadcrumbs, a pinch of salt and pepper, olive oil, and a little water. Mix well with your hands to create a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle the tomato halves with salt and top them with the prepared mixture. Place a slice of Edam cheese on each tomato, then arrange them in a fireproof dish.

Bake in the middle of the oven for about half an hour, then serve the tomatoes on plates.

Advice
Tomatoes can be quickly heated in the microwave. They are also tasty cold, especially as a light summer snack. Optionally, at the end, sprinkle each tomato with a pinch of oregano and thyme.
