Ingredients
-
3 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
450 g Meat, beef, ground
-
2 piece Chili peppers, red chili, fresh
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, oregano, dried
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, coriander - seeds
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
180 g Tomato, pieces - can
-
100 g Beans, grains, cooked
-
8 pieces Tortilla, wheat
Steps
-
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash the chili peppers, clean them (remove the stems and seeds), and cut them into smaller pieces. Drain the canned beans and rinse them under running water. Drain the rinsed beans well.
-
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onion to the hot oil and sauté it over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until it becomes translucent. Add the ground meat, garlic, and chili peppers, and cook the ingredients, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes.
-
Add the spices, tomato, and beans, and bring everything to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer slowly for another 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
-
Place a new pan on the stove and heat it up. Warm the tortillas on both sides in the pan to soften them.
-
Spoon the meat filling onto the center of each tortilla (leaving a 3 cm empty edge on the left side). Fold the tortillas into burritos (first fold the left edge over the filling, then roll the tortilla from the bottom up into a roll). Serve the stuffed tortillas on plates and enjoy. Optionally, serve with a spicy cream sauce on the side.

Advice
The stuffed tortillas can be topped with grated cheese (cheddar, gouda, edam, etc.) and placed in a preheated oven for just a few minutes to melt the cheese and create a crispy crust.
