-
150 ml Sour cream
-
pieces Spices, chili powder
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
pieces Water
-
1.5 spoons Oil, olive
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
pieces Chili peppers, red chili, fresh
-
400 g Tomato sauce, without salt
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, oregano, dried
-
160 g Fish, tuna, in oil
-
1 handful Olives, green, in brine
-
200 g Cheese, cottage cheese
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
pieces Salt, table
-
2 piece Tortilla, wheat
-
100 g Cheese, Gouda
Steps
-
Peel the onion and garlic, then finely chop them separately. Wash the chili and cut it into pieces, and slice the olives into rings.
-
Heat oil in a medium-sized pot and sauté the onion until it becomes translucent. Add the garlic and chili and continue to sauté until the garlic becomes fragrant. Mix in the tomato and season the sauce with salt and oregano to taste. Stir well and let the sauce simmer on medium heat for a few minutes until it thickens appropriately.
-
Stir the drained tuna and sliced olives into the sauce. Let it cook for a few more minutes, then remove the pot from the heat.
-
In a bowl, combine the cottage cheese with an egg. Add a pinch of salt and ground pepper, then mix everything well. Cut the tortillas into strips.
-
Lightly grease the baking dish with oil. Pour half of the tuna sauce into the dish and spread it evenly with a spatula. Arrange half of the tortilla strips over the sauce.
-
Add the cottage cheese and egg mixture to the baking dish, spreading it evenly over the entire surface. Follow with another layer of tortilla strips.
-
Spread the remaining tuna sauce over the tortillas. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
-
Place the baking dish in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes, until the casserole is golden brown on top.
-
Meanwhile, prepare the spicy cream sauce. In a bowl, combine sour cream with ground chili and a pinch of salt. Mix well, then add enough water to achieve a medium-thick sauce. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Keep it refrigerated until ready to use.
-
Remove the baked casserole from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Then, cut it into pieces, serve on plates, and accompany with the prepared cream sauce.

If you dont have fresh chili on hand, you can use chili powder or chili flakes. The cream in the sauce preparation can be replaced with Greek yogurt.
