Ingredients
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
pieces Garlic, fresh
-
800 g Tomato, pieces - can
-
1.5 teaspoons Spices, basil, dried
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
150 ml Water
-
250 g Pasta, Macaroni
-
2 piece Fish, tuna, in oil
-
150 g Cheese, edamame
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
-
Cook the pasta in salted water for 1 minute less than the time indicated on the package. Drain the cooked pasta and rinse it under running water (this prevents it from sticking together).
-
Peel and finely chop the garlic and onion. Heat oil in a pot or large pan, and first sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add the garlic and cook it together with the onion just until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
-
Add the canned tomatoes and seasonings, and season with salt to taste (if desired, you can also add ground pepper or a pinch of chili). Pour in a little water, mix the sauce well, and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and let the sauce cook for about 5 minutes or until it thickens sufficiently. Stir it well several times during cooking.
-
Once the sauce is ready, remove the pot/pan from the heat and add the drained pasta. Mix well to evenly distribute the sauce, then gently fold in the drained tuna, which has been broken into larger pieces with a fork. If desired, you can also add sliced black or green olives.
-
Transfer the pasta to a baking dish and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
-
Let the prepared dish rest for about 3 minutes before serving to allow it to cool slightly.
