Ingredients
-
3 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
2 piece Onion, raw
-
700 g Meat, turkey, dark
-
1 spoon Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 spoon Spices, paprika
-
pieces Salt, table
-
600 ml Soup base, chicken, cube
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
2 piece Spices, bay (leaves)
-
1 piece Bell pepper, green, fresh
Steps
-
Peel the onion and chop it finely. Heat oil in a pot, add the onion, and slowly sauté it over low heat, stirring occasionally.
-
Wash the meat, dry it, and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Add the meat to the pot once the onion has softened. Increase the heat and quickly sear the meat on all sides while stirring.
-
Lower the heat to medium and sprinkle flour and ground paprika over the sautéed ingredients. Continue to cook while stirring constantly for 1 to 2 minutes, then pour in the broth. Season with chopped garlic, salt, and bay leaf, and mix well. Cover the pot and let the goulash simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and the meat becomes tender.
-
Wash the bell pepper, clean it (remove the stem and seeds), and cut it in half lengthwise. Slice it into strips and add it to the goulash. Mix well, bring the contents to a boil once more, then remove the pot from the heat and serve the dish on plates. Serve with sliced bread, bread dumplings, gnocchi, or spaetzle on the side.
