Ingredients

4 pieces Egg, egg white, fresh

500 g Sugar, white

5 spoon Honey

100 g Nuts, hazelnuts

50 g Pistachio

100 g Nuts, almonds

100 g Candied fruit

2 piece Waffles
Steps

Place a pot on the stove and pour in 5 dl of water. Wait for it to boil. Put the egg whites in a metal bowl and beat them into stiff peaks using an electric mixer. Gradually add sugar while beating. Once the water boils, place the metal bowl on top of the pot with boiling water and continue beating.

Add honey to the egg white mixture and continue beating for about 25 minutes. Once the mixture thickens, gradually mix in hazelnuts, pistachios, almonds, and candied fruit while stirring. Remove the pot from the heat. Place a wafer on the work surface and spread the prepared mixture on top. Make sure the mixture is as evenly distributed as possible.

Cover everything with another wafer and lightly press down. Let the prepared Turkish delight sit for about a day to firm up, then cut it into pieces of your desired size. Arrange it on a serving plate and serve.
