Turkish Fig Dessert
Turkish Fig Dessert is a simple fruit dessert that can be made with dried (in winter) or fresh figs (in summer). It contains alcohol, so it is not suitable for children, but it will surely impress adult guests.

Ingredients

500 g Figs, dry

0.5 l Alcohol, Wine, White

4 spoon Sugar, white

2 piece Lemon, fresh, without shell

4 spoon Alcohol, Wine, Red

2 teaspoons Seaweed, agar, dried

2 dl Sweet cream

Soak the figs overnight in water. The next day, cook them in the same water for 30 minutes until they soften. Wash the lemon, cut it in half, and squeeze out the juice. Drain the figs, let them cool, remove the stems, and cut them into cubes.

In a pot, mix the wine, sugar, agar-agar, lemon juice, and brandy. Heat and stir with a whisk until the sugar dissolves. Let the wine mixture cool.

Whip the sweet cream and add it to the liquid mixture. Then add the fig cubes and mix everything together. Rinse four wide glasses or bowls with cold water and fill them with the fig cream. Let the dessert chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.

Advice
- The dessert can be garnished with chocolate shavings.- If using fresh figs, there is no need to soak and cook them; simply slice them and add them to the wine.- Instead of agar-agar, gelatin can be used.
