3 pods Vanilla, extract, natural

3 dl Alcohol, Vodka
Steps

Split the vanilla beans lengthwise with a sharp knife. Place them in a clean bottle and fill it to the top with alcohol. Seal the bottle tightly and place it in a dark space.

Shake the jar well once or twice a week. After approximately two months, the vanilla extract is ready to use.

Advice
Instead of vodka, you can use rum. Store vanilla extract in a dark place. When you use about half of the extract, top it up with the missing alcohol. Also, add vanilla beans as needed.
