Ingredients
-
250 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
125 g Butter, unsalted
-
50 g Sugar, white
-
2 teaspoons Sugar, white
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
250 ml Yogurt, fruit, from skimmed milk
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
2 spoons Powdered sugar
Steps
-
Sift the flour into a bowl and mix it with salt and baking powder. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the butter, regular and vanilla sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Gradually add the flour and baking powder mixture by the spoonful, while slowly pouring in the buttermilk. Add enough buttermilk to make the batter smooth and runny.

Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it with oil. Pour a small ladle of batter into the hot iron. Close the waffle iron and bake the waffle for 4 to 6 minutes until golden brown. Remove the baked waffle from the iron and transfer it to a plate. Repeat the process until the batter is used up.
-
Arrange the waffles on plates and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve them with your chosen accompaniment.
