Wakame Seaweed Salad
Wakame seaweed is very healthy and its flavor is something special. In the Far East, it is often used to prepare various salads. It is also indispensable in miso soup.

Ingredients

20 g Seaweed, wakame, dried

3 spoons Vinegar, distilled

2 spoons Soy sauce, tamari

0.5 spoons Sugar, white

2 spoons Sesame seeds, dried

Soak the seaweed in cold water for 15 minutes. Once softened, drain well, transfer to a pot, cover with water, and cook for 4 minutes. Then drain again and let cool. Place a pan on the stove and dry roast the sesame seeds. Shake the pan frequently to ensure even roasting. Transfer the roasted seeds to a bowl and let cool.

Remove any tough stems from the cooled seaweed and cut into shorter strips if they are too long. In a bowl, mix together vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Place the seaweed in a smaller bowl and pour the soy mixture over it. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top and serve the salad.
