Waldorf Salad
The classic salad made with celery, apples, and walnuts got its name from its place of origin: the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York, a grand palace of hospitality with 1,300 rooms. Simple in appearance, yet the unusual combination surprises with a harmony of flavors.

Advice
Waldorf salad pairs excellently with game dishes. If we use egg-free mayonnaise and plant-based cream, we get a dish suitable for vegans. The flavor of the salad will be even better if we store it in the refrigerator for two hours before serving. Waldorf salad is an excellent choice when preparing a self-service buffet for guests on special occasions. We can simplify preparation with a grater or multipurpose tool with various cutting attachments. Celery has a fairly hard bulb. We can make cutting easier by partially cooking it and then slicing it.
