Ingredients
-
65 g Walnuts
-
260 g Flour, Whole wheat
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
230 g Butter, unsalted
-
30 g Powdered sugar
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, natural
sprinkle
- 120 g Powdered sugar
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Sort the walnuts and spread them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Roast them in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, then finely chop them. Turn off the oven.
-
Sift the flour and salt into a bowl and mix well. Cut the softened butter into pieces and beat them in a new bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add sugar and continue to mix for a few more minutes. While mixing, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Gradually fold in the flour with a hand whisk, and finally add the chopped walnuts. Shape the prepared dough into a ball and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Form the dough into balls with a diameter of 2.5 cm. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper, ensuring there is a few centimeters of space between each ball. Bake the balls in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes. The cookies should remain almost completely light, with only the edges and bottom slightly browned.
-
Transfer the baked cookies to a wire rack and dust them with powdered sugar using a small sieve. Wait until they are completely cooled, then arrange them on a serving plate and serve.
