Walnut Kisses
Do you often have leftover egg whites after baking sweet treats or making homemade pasta, and youre not sure how to use them? You can always freeze them, but an even better way is to bake something delicious with them. A great choice is walnut kisses, which are quick and easy to prepare. These sweet cookies are so light that they melt in your mouth, and they pair perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients
-
3 pieces Egg, egg white, fresh
-
25 dag Sugar, white
-
1 spoon Vinegar, apple
-
25 dag Walnuts
Steps
-
Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. When they are not yet fully firm, gradually add sugar and vinegar while continuously mixing, until you get a thick, firm, and glossy meringue. Gently fold in the walnuts with a spatula.
-
Preheat the oven to 150°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spoon small mounds of the prepared mixture onto it (if you want nicely shaped kisses, use a piping bag). Leave space between them as they will spread slightly during baking.
-
Bake the walnut kisses in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are lightly browned. Do not open the oven during baking. Once baked, let them cool completely, then serve on a plate or platter with your favorite warm beverage.
