Walnut Pastry with Sour Cream
A walnut sponge cake combined with apricot or any other marmalade and sour cream. A truly quick-to-make pastry that requires only a few well-known ingredients.

Ingredients

2 piece Egg, fresh

150 g Sugar, white

1 bag Sugar, white

200 g Walnuts

2 dl Oil, plant, sunflower

4.5 dl Milk, whole milk

300 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

1 bag Baking powder

250 g Marmalade, orange

400 g Sour cream

pieces Powdered sugar
Steps

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Line a larger baking tray, approximately 45 x 35 centimeters, with baking paper.

Beat the eggs in a large bowl and whisk them together with regular and vanilla sugar for 5 minutes.

Mix in the walnuts, oil, milk, and finally the flour, which has been previously mixed with baking powder.

Pour the mixture into the baking tray and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, then let it cool.

Once cooled, cut the sponge cake in half to get two equal parts. Spread one half with marmalade and then with sour cream. Cover with the other half of the sponge cake and place it in the refrigerator.

Before cutting, dust the pastry with powdered sugar.
