Ingredients
-
pieces Oil, olive
-
500 g Meat, beef, ground
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
3 pods Garlic, fresh
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
35 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
1 piece Green, raw
-
1 bouquet Parsley, fresh
-
800 g Tomato, pieces - can
-
pieces Salt, table
-
350 g Pasta, spaghetti, whole grain
-
1 handful Cheese, Parmesan, grated
Steps
-
Peel the onion and garlic, then finely chop them separately. Wash and dry the bell pepper, then cut it into small pieces. Rinse the parsley under running water. Shake it well and finely chop it.
-
Place the ground meat in a bowl and add half of the chopped garlic, onion, and parsley. Add the beaten egg, breadcrumbs, and spices. Mix the ingredients well with clean hands to form a uniform mixture, then shape it into 14 to 16 small, walnut-sized meatballs using wet hands.
-
Place a deep pan on the stove and heat it, then grease it with oil. Quickly fry the meatballs in the pan. Turn them while cooking, or shake the pan several times to ensure the meatballs are evenly browned on all sides. If you have a smaller pan, cook the meatballs in two or three batches.
-
Remove the cooked meatballs from the pan and set them aside on a plate. Add a little more oil to the pan if needed, then sauté the remaining onion and bell pepper. Once the onion becomes translucent, add the remaining chopped garlic and cook everything together for another 1 to 2 minutes while stirring. Then add the canned tomatoes. Use a spatula to scrape the bottom of the pan to release any caramelized bits that formed during frying. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste, and add any other desired spices.
-
Add the fried meatballs to the sauce and let everything simmer on medium heat for about 15 minutes. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add a little water.
-
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions. Drain the cooked pasta.
-
Serve the cooked spaghetti on plates and top with the meatballs in sauce. Sprinkle with a little chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve the prepared dish.
